Veteran’s Day is all about honoring our armed forces and appreciating the sacrifices they make. Not only is it important to thank the veterans in our lives, but it’s important to remember the veterans who are no longer with us.
That’s why we were honored to participate in Grateful Embrace this weekend. On Nov. 12, the Ziehler Lawn and Tree Care Team joined over 100 members of the Ohio Nursery & Landscapers Association and the Ohio Lawn Care Association, volunteering time and resources in honor of our country’s fallen heroes.
As part of a longstanding Veteran’s Day tradition, lawn and landscape professionals from across Ohio brought spreaders, blowers, fertilizer, and manpower to the Dayton National Veterans Cemetery and the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
We are honored to be a part of this great tradition! In this small way, we’re able to give back to those who have sacrificed to keep us and our country safe.
Our favorite part about taking part in Grateful Embrace year after year is the direct impact on the community. While we also treasure our part in Renewal and Remembrance, a Memorial Day event honoring veterans buried in Arlington National Cemetery – it is very rewarding to honor the servicemen and women from Dayton. It is truly a privilege to honor veterans from our area, and their families, who have given so much to protect all of us.
Thank you to veterans and to all active-duty members currently serving our country!
